This, to me, is the most 80s sounding of the PC Music songs on my list. Lots of triplets in it which I love. The synths on the bridge are exactly what make PC Music PC Music.
89. iamamiwhoami - "Hunting for Pearls"
In my opinion, this has the best melody in all of Blue, and the lyrics are fairly good story-telling material. Subject matter is awesome since... when do we hear electropop songs about this kinda stuff?
88. Brooke Candy - "Opulence"
The repetitive "Opulence" hook isn't much until the climax of "I own everything, baby" and this is definitely lyrically Brooke's strongest release this year. Too bad for her other stuff sounding more like Sia.
87. Wife - "Living Joy"
The melodramatic climax of Wife's album is here! It's the most upbeat but also the most emotionally connected.
86. Especia - "アバンチュールは銀色に"
J-Pop Disco revival! Is there any other reason I should convince you to listen to this?
This is a "remix" of ***Flawless, but let's be honest, it's really not. It's just an M.I.A. song. But it's an M.I.A. song so of course it's on my list.
83. Tobacco - "Father Sister Berzerker"
The penultimate track on Ultima II Massage is definitely the most grandiose sounding song by Tobacco I've ever heard.
82. Jessie Ware - "Want Your Feeling"
Dev Hynes collaborations are usually the strongest efforts on albums.
New Dorp. New York SBTRKT is incredible
Let Me Down Gently is good, but I really think the singles from her previous album were so much better.
