Avril Lavigne joins Glee's Final Season confirmed by Ryan Murphy
Glee is on its final season and its going to be bittersweet for the fans who have grown to love the hit musical tv series. The final season will be spectacular as always but its gonna be more exciting as the hallways of William McKinley High will be graced by another music icon,
Avril Lavigne.
If you're familiar with the first few episodes of the hit show “Glee,” you can point out that Avril's participation on its final season is very timely and a great choice. The show covered Lavigne's timeless classic
"Keep Holding On" on its first season and it was covered once again on its 100th episode, so the news confirming Lavigne's guest starring on the show is very interesting and nostalgic at the same time.
“Glee” creator Ryan Murphy recently announced Lavigne's role on the show. Lavigne is confirmed to appear on two upcoming episodes with the role that's connected to Darren Criss' character. According to the show's creator Ryan Murphy, Avril plays as Brenda, her character is very diverse, she may appear as a villain to Blaine's character at first but there'll be time for her to redeem and justify her character on the show.

Lavigne's character will be introduced on the season's first episode entitled
"Loser Like Me" to be premiered on January 9, 2014. Her second participation on the show will be towards the middle part of the season. Lavigne will be singing a solo song for the show
"Not Over You" originally sung by Gavin DeGraw, Another confirmed song would be a duet with Darren Criss entitled
"Keep Holding On."

The final season of Glee consists of 13 episodes and will premiere on Friday,
January 9, 2015, with a two-hour episode, and the two-hour series finale will air on March 20, 2015. Episodes will air at 9:00 p.m. Friday, Eastern Time, with premiere and finale starting an hour earlier. Avril Lavigne's sixth studio album will be released on January 2015.
