Vanessa Hudgens and ShoTime just announced it, she is back soon with new music and a new record deal. The multi threats talented woman is really happy where she is now, and said 2014 was not her year for music, that's why she cancelled her last album, last minute. She confessed everything to her fanclub on a letter via her website that she called the
Tell All Note.
I'm really sorry for the last album, but after a while during the recording sessions, I was so tired, I sat down and talked to my manager and told him : 'my music is pointless, it has no interest, I don't have any inspirations.'
He was calm, very calm, he listened to all my words and told me. 'If you're not happy nor focused on this project, we can always call the label and pull the plug.'
Next thing you know I was enjoying some times off with my fiancée and friends, reflecting on my career, and I told my label, that my head was not on music. We cancelled the era last minute and they ended my contract.
The singer talked about every little things in her note about her music career and all the doubts she had for a moment.
I felt during a long time, really far behind my competition. I was in a race that I was sure to lose, so when I was recording that album, all my fears and doubts came back, I could be focused on my music. I was writting songs but they didn't made any sense, I was accepting every demos and songs but wasn't really into them.
Cancelling the album and taking times for myself was the best decision.
Vanessa finished her tell all note by saying :
This time everything has changed. I took the time to get inspired and do my own thing. I found the good people around me. I'm ready this time.
She's now in Paris working on her album, with Kanye West, and is schedule to come out in 2015. She also said that she already picked the first single and shot the music video for it. And can release it anytime soon.
