Britney had her zenith during BOMT/OIDIA, but thanks to the breakdown she got the chance to re-emerge. Every 2-3 years and every passing age bracket has their own it figures. Like, look at right now. What was once Bieber is now One D. What was One D will become something else. What's Taylor right now will be something different in 2016/2017.

Taylor has proven that she's not a fad though. She debuted in 2006. In "2-3 years", who was the new Taylor Swift? Taylor Swift. In the next 2-3 years, who took her place? Still her. And the 2-3 years after them? Still her. And the next 2-3 years? Well, we don't know yet, but it doesn't seem like she's going anywhere. It will take her a LONG time to start fading into irrelevance.
We all know she was huge for like 2-3 years. But she fell off too hard.
