Honestly, Michael is the reason I have such an appreciation for music and pop culture in general. I've been a fan since 2004 when I was only nine years old. I was obsessed with him as a kid. I remember dancing to Smooth Criminal in front of the entire student body on the last day of school in 4th grade.
The day he died is perhaps one of the most surreal days of my life. It didn't seem real and to a certain extent, still doesn't to this day. I would have given anything to see him live and perhaps meet him. Just to let him know what an impact he has made in my life ...
I love him so much and I often wonder what he would be doing if he were still with us today. The thought of him and Gaga on stage together and collaborating....
