Have been adoring Sucker lately. "Doing It" is really doing it for me lately.
ASDIAG - Where to begin? They play a large role in my own countdown this year Love that you love them, too!
St. Vincent - probably the most consistent album this year, every track is divine. Great quality control.
Jessie Ware's album is so much more consistent than her last effort, but the true 5-star standout quality tracks were few and far between. It was lacking the big singles of Devotion.

Tough Love is great

Yeah, you really have to be in the right mood for Zola. I thought Taiga was much less depressing than Conatus or even Stridulum II, though! And you should definitely give Little Dragon a try!

Albums #10-8

Röyksopp & Robyn – Do It Again
In fact an EP, this collaborative project reunited Swedish pop queen Robyn and Norwegian electro gods Röyksopp, two of my favourite Scandinavian acts, who had last worked together on Robyn's marvelous 2011 LP Body Talk. I wasn't sure whether or not to include this one in my countdown at first, because I really wanted to do albums only. The record's playtime of over half an hour made me re-evaluate eventually, and yeah... here we are! The so-called "mini album" really does deserve its place on my year-end list, though. From the robotic "SayIt" to the spacey opus "Monument", every track on Do It Again is immensely enjoyable and original!
Standouts: "Do It Again", "SayIt" (arguably "Fembot" Part 2), "Monument" |

Cro – Melodie
Most of y'all might not know or care about this one at all. Melodie, German rapper Cro's sophomore record, was surprisingly good; a bit of a guilty pleasure even. The album is, above all, really fun and shallow, and I think that's exactly what I love about it. Along with my countdown's #6 and #7, this one really defined summer 2014 for me. "Black on Black, Versace-Dress -- der deutsche Kanye West." -- Mmkay, that's a bit of an overstatement, though.
Standouts: "Traum", "I Know", "Wir waren hier II", "Erinnerung" |

Banks – Goddess
I gotta admit I was pretty much indifferent about Banks when I first checked on her. However, that changed quite drastically when I stumbled upon the sombre "Change", which was more or less love at first listen for me. Then with "Brain", my fondness for the young American songstress was further cemented; my excitement for her full-length debut eventually incited. Most of the Goddess tracks had already been out by the time the album dropped, though, and so there wasn't that much to look forward to, really. Still, Goddess was a stellar debut record that proved that Jillian Banks is a force to be reckoned with. This girl is a self-declared goddess after all!
Standouts: "Change", "Under the Table", "Bedroom Wall", "Brain", "And I Drove You Crazy" |

Okay I really NEED to hear Robyn/Röyksopp already.
Otherwise, for Banks I wasn't really that interested in her I do like "Brain" though.

You're missing out big time! Do It Again actually only made me thirstier for new solo Robyn. That and her cute "Tell You (Today)" cover.

I had no idea anybody on here knew about that album. I never cared about Cro until this year either, but that new record is very solid! Much better than Raop.

Robyn and Royskopp!
I guess I'll have to give Banks a second try, I wasn't all that impressed the first time I listened.

I'm planning on revealing a few more today, I'm thinking #7 to #4 perhaps. I'll start with the videos too, and as I forgot to include a certain reverse Warholian performance art piece, I'll do a few honourable mentions for those as well!
