Top 30 Pop Singles of 2014
 | #26. Beg For It
Artist - Iggy Azalea f/ MØ
Label - Def Jam
Released - 10/24/14 |
Beg for takes the best moments from Azalea's previous hits (Fancy and Black Widow) and creates a bass heavy banger which making for a great musical event. Oddly enough, this single has become her least successful single released this year. The only down side to Beg for it is possibly MØ. She's like a less edgy version of Charli XCX.
 | #25. All My Love
Artist - Major Lazer f/ Ariana Grande
Label - Republic
Released - 11/17/14 |
When I first heard that Ariana Grande, Lorde and Major Lazer would be working together on a track for the Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack, I was ecstatic. Upon first listen I was not disappointed to say the least. All My Love is beautiful EDM/House influenced track with an island feel to it. It is easily one of the best tracks off of the soundtrack along with Lorde's Yellow Flicker Beat.
 | #24. Not A Bad Thing
Artist - Justin Timberlake
Label - RCA
Released - 2/24/14 |
I'm not a huge fan of Justin, but this single really won me over this year. It's use of the acoustic guitar throughout the song paired with JT's relaxed vocals make for a pretty great song and apparently the general population agreed seeing as though it was the only commercially successful single off of The 20/20 Experience - 2 Of 2.
 | #23. XO
Artist - Beyonce
Label - Columbia
Released - 12/16/13 |
As the lead single off of Beyoncé's self titled album, this single showcases Bey's restrained vocals along with a beautiful pop production. The song is absolutely gorgeous mainly because of it's dual meanings. The song initially feels and sounds like your average lovey dovey type of single, but when you actually take the lyrics into consideration, it becomes obvious that the song is about Bey announcing her love for her man before her time on earth is up. This remains one of Beyoncé's deepest singles.
