Their receipts thread is a bit inaccurate due to sales being counted wrong. The initially included sales for Genie and Gee but removed them due to lack of available sales figures for them (reliably, anyway) and forgot to recount their singles totals after the removal.
Their Korean singles, per their sales thread, stand at ~28 million but they still have it at ~35 million - meaning they didn't re-add their stats upon removing the unreliable figures. Add that to their Japanese single sales (4.6 million) - that brings them to 32.5 million singles sold. Adjusting for their recently released EP in Korea, their current single sales should be about 33-34 million singles sold. That puts them about 6 million copies, at the very least, behind Ayu.
Not to mention, SNSD's stats thread included nearly 4.5 million copies of solo works from various members, which is highly illogical when you're comparing acts.
