Janet probably doesn't want to be hassled with doing hard dance routines and doing interviews where she'll be asked about her brother and the Superbowl constantly. What's the point when all of her music is blacklisted and she's aged out? It would prob. be hard for her to top her 90s concept albums and tours anyhow.

It was absolutely enormous in the U.S. Managed to completely overshadow We Are Never Getting Back Together, (which was already huge), and sell well over 5 million in the U.S. alone. Not suspicious at all.

I just realized that Shake It Off would've been #1 for 12 consecutive weeks, (same amount of time as Blurred Lines), if not for Meghan. She really just came out of left field.

Well it probably took her a long ass time to recover. It's kind of messed up that they rushed her into work in 2008. She clearly wasn't ready. I remember when the FTR interviewer asked her if she herself thought she was ready for a comeback, she paused and then they just cut the scene. Her acting a bit crazy during the Circus Tour proves that she wasn't ready for a comeback as well.

Her team just wanted her to rush an era because of her great media relevancy at the time.
