Every major music market has a history of crap: The UK made Crazy Frog popular, Canada provided Nickelback a reputable career, Japan has an endless supply of ****** J-pop boy bands/girl groups, The U.S. has the last 10 years of its rap history, Germany has 20 years of god-awful whitewashed dance music, France created that Alizee creature, etc.

I wonder if Barbra could beat Tony/Gaga at the Grammys. Barbra has lost five times to Bennett (I think) and the Tony/Gaga combination could be too nice for voters to pass up, but the way Barbra is outselling them like it's nothing might help her prevail. If she wins, this would be her first Grammy in 28 years.
