It's a jazz album. You literally cannot project your normal expectations of Gaga onto an album that will end up selling 10% of its entire genre globally this year - it's not a thing, it doesn't make sense. You can't paint it as a loss because you can't line it up with her standard work at all. When/If she flops with #LG5, then you can reasonably compare, but this is like Beyonce putting out a country-western album and people expecting it to do well because her self-titled did.

Well then I'll compare it to Duets II which healthily outperformed C2C. Gaga side-stepping into Jazz in an attempt to fix her brand because her pop career hit a brick wall is a disappointment either which way you spin it.
