Iggy got "big" because of the singles, simple as that. Her album sales are nothing special so quit acting like she's really that much bigger than most other rappers because she's not. She's been everywhere because she had one of the biggest songs of the year. She'll likely fade into irrelevance within 2 years, if not by next year.

Where were people at when Nicki was having massive hits with Super Bass and Starships? Why wasn't Azealia going on about how Nicki should have been placed into pop categories then?

Iggy makes music catered to top 40. Is it rap/hip-hop? Yes. Is it quality? That's down to personal opinion. Personally it just doesn't feel authentic to me.

But I'm really tired of Azealia always having **** to say about people on social media and in interviews but when it comes to her music, it's as mindless and idiotic as anything else. She needs to quit bitching about "how her identity has been taken from her" and start focusing on making people pay more attention to her outside of twitter beefs.

Um. The better question is where were you? Because Nicki got dragged and slaughtered to the pits for that. In Hip Hop, by the media, by other rappers etc. The difference is that Nicki, while putting out ********, is still known to be a good rapper/lyricist. So it was more frustration for people when she did that than actual disgust

But my post wasn't directed at Rosenberg, etc.

It was about Azealia and from what i recall Azealia didn't start attacking Nicki until the two had a falling out over a tour or something. So if she did say anything about it, it was likely out of bitterness from that, as usual.
