Meanwhile Macklemore got very undeserved hate for no reason because he's peaceful aka vanilla. Same with #1ggy who's getting even more hate since she's an oversexualized female. It doesn't take a genius to figure this out.

The Macklemore hate was more rooted from the fact that he WON Best Rap Album over hugely favorited, critically acclaimed, way better rap albums. It wasn't even really hate for him, more so shock and outrage at the Grammy commitee, which Macklemore himself even admitted was ridiculous. It had very little to do with people thinking Macklemore was a joke and completely sucked. He barely got hate or even much attention from the Hip Hop community outside of that, probably because people weren't calling him the "King Of Rap" because Thriftshop was a pop hit.

It'll be interesting to see how her next album fares. Macklemore too.

Macklemore is more talented than her, but Iggy has become more of a pop culture presence. It will indeed be interesting.
Iggy should take the Flo Rida route and become a rapper that primarily caters to trendy pop music.
Macklemore should follow The Heist formula and release another album that combines hip hop and alternative elements. His style is naturally very alternative and I've always felt like he appeals to that crowd. A collaboration between Macklemore & Lorde would be cool to hear and probably smash if done right. He should have 1-2 big smashes on his album, and he's set.
I'm also awaiting Fun.'s next album, since they were big in 2012. Imagine Dragons' are releasing a new album in Feb, but so far their first single hasn't done well.

True about Eminem If Macklemore didn't do as much pop, and hadn't supported the gay community, he wouldn't be nearly as hated.
The hip-hop community is so ridiculous

Macklemore is talented and I really liked The Heist. He didn't deserve to win BRA against Kendrick, and TH wasn't even better than Drake, but he deserved a solid 3rd. The category was really good this year.
Iggy's criticism is rather deserved in that her music really isn't that good outside of her singles.

Eminem is respected because he's an incredible lyricist and a very compelling storyteller. He also had a tough life and didnt come from privilege despite being white.
His hatred of his mother and talks about killing his wife actually turned off alot of his black fans and got him tons of emo fans so his record label told him to keep quiet about that. Has barely made psychotic rants about them ever since.

She's the 2014 Macklemore. And just like Macklemore got all his success from that guy who sang his hooks, Iggy owes her entire year to Charli XCX's hook.

I mean, she isn't to me either. But from an artists perspective, she has been all over this year. She has been nominated or won at every major award show. Performed everywhere. In commercials etc. She is clearly a fad and useless regardless but while that may not mean anything to us, I can see why other rap artists would be upset with it. They barely get recognized in the mainstream as it is, so for her, this little white girl who is hardly hip hop and can barely rap in the first place, to be the one winning Rap and Hip Hop categories, having her album nominated in one of the very few categories any of them will ever qualify for, having major publications call her the best rapper and all this other stuff is
At least Macklemore is actually kind of...a good rapper?

They say they don't care about top 40 but the second somebody else does they will start ranting and playing the race card.

+ The sexual harassment and discrimination talking place in her establishment.
The funniest part of it all though was the fact that the person who sued her for racism, workplace discrimination, sexual harassment & singlehandedly ruined her career was white

My thoughts exactly! But even TH winning isn't that big deal of a deal imo. GKMC wasn't successful enough to be recognized by the Academy and Drake was kind of a last minute entry. Plus Macklemore did it with one producer and no label.

Many rappers have talked about the industry unfairness esp. regarding the Grammys which is ran by old, out of touch, white men. But do they talk about online practically every single day?
Azealia talks about it constantly. Like damn, bitch get to work and actually TRY to stunt on the damn girl instead of just rant about her on Twitter.
