Just because you don't get Tree of Life, that doesn't mean you should direct your frustration on Malick. It's ok to be dumb, but it's not ok to deny it.
This is exactly the type of attitude I would expect from people who fawn over Malick's films.

I don't fawn over his movies. In fact, I haven't seen anything else from him. I don't even think it is the best movie of the decade (That would be "In The House", brilliant movie), but it's a close second.
"Alfred Enoch as audience surrogate Wes Gibbins isn’t just bad, he’s awful. In order to play a confused and naive student, he spends the entire episode with his eyes open as wide as he can and either gulping or forming his mouth into a shocked little o. Honestly, it’s the most bizarre thing; like a kid in a high school play suddenly wandered onto this set full of competent pros. That the show seems to be making him central to the story is the one thing about the first episode that doesn’t fill us with confidence."
"The next big red mark is the male protagonist Wes Gibbons. This character is just a complete train wreck. I don’t know what kind of direction Alfred Enoch is getting but his performance is stiff and lacking in any realism or subtlety. It’s almost like he’s just reciting the words from a page and then raises or lowers his voice based on whether the page says that he should be angry or happy while he’s talking. To add to the poor acting, there is some **** writing going on, I honestly don’t know anyone who speaks the way the people on this show speak, including Wes Gibbons."
TPP reminds me of when Warrior was released, people were like "ohhhhh okay, Kesha not getting #1 is okay, #2 is fine" and then "oh, well she'll be top 3 at least" and then she missed the Top 5... l o l
I was looking back on Warrior's charting peaks to reply to you, I don't even recall them being this bad.
These Sony emails really make you think how much **** executives must talk behind artists backs while pretending to love them. The entertainment industry is so ****ing fake.
