35. ARIANA GRANDE ft. ZEDD - BREAK FREE
My Everything // 3 July, 2014
Second entry by Ariana on my chart. I admit this song is a little bit basic for my taste but it's also one hell of a grower. I couldn't stand Ariana when this song came out but by the time her album was released I was already obsessed with her. Unfortunately, 'Break Free' was the worst single from 'My Everything' in my opinion but it's still such a cute bop.
34. MARIAH CAREY - YOU'RE MINE (ETERNAL)
Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse // 12 February, 2014
This song was such a mess of a single. Serirously, what made Mariah's team think that this could take off in any way and be representative of the album? It's a cool song with some great vocals (I love both Mariah's whispery singing and that whistle note at the end.) but the overall production felt a littble bit flat.
33. NICK JONAS ft. TINASHE - JEALOUS (REMIX)
Nick Jonas // 5 November, 2014
I'm not such a fan of the original single version of 'Jealous' but female presence was really what this song lacked. Nick and Tinashe's voices synchronize in such a beautiful way and let's be real here, those revamped nasty lyrics gave the song that spicy twist it really needed.
32. KYLIE MINOGUE - INTO THE BLUE
Kiss Me Once // 27 January, 2014
'Into the Blue' didn't really live up to people's expectations of what Kylie's comeback single should actually sound but it is nonetheless a great track. I admit it took me some time to actually get into it but after multiple listens it grew on me. The music video on the other hand was a disappointment on so many levels.
31. JENNIFER LOPEZ - FIRST LOVE
A.K.A. // 1 May, 2014
First of all, I have to point out how much I love the single cover. Second, the song is just as good if not even better. It has such a nice flow, catchy hook, and that awesome bridge is the absolute climax. Flawless song in every single aspect, too bad it remained underappreciated.
