I don’t feel pressured, and I don’t want to be. The thing is I have no example. There’s no one in front of me who has done this before. Maybe there were people who have tried, but I can’t really name anyone who was successful enough to be my mentor as an Asian woman.

Going back to Lord Blackout's posts, he's kinda right.

Went to see Enrique and Pitbull in October, both of whom are two of the best living examples of singles artists, and the arena was packed. Not only that, but when they came out, everyone knew EVERY SINGLE WORD to their songs, even the flop ones. Multiple women threw their bras at Pit, (none for Enrique surprisingly), and they were losing their damn minds every time either one of them opened his mouth.

Touring is WAY more profitable than album sales nowadays anyway, so you win some, you lose some.

He has two platinum albums, which have gone on to be cult classics (sorta speak). People have been waiting for this follow-up for 14 years. It isn't that surprising that people are showing up now.
