It didn't even reach 400K and opened with 97K, and it had about 1/3rd of My Everything's promotion. Not to mention that she scored her biggest hit with the record and managed to give herself more exposure than ever before. I'd say that at least expecting it to go Gold, especially since her previous releases were capable of doing so, was not too much of an expectation.
