I'm actually crumbling inside cause like I've tried to change how I write but now a whole bunch of problems have arisen because of it: structure, sounding forced, rhythm etc etc. I don't know what to do!!! I feel like Gaga rn. But I get it because these past few weeks I haven't fallen in love with my songs like I have with the earlier ones. I won second place with Chrysalis but I still feel a disconnect with that song and I don't know why. I'm afraid to revert back to my old style though.
When are results coming?? I want to know if I'm eliminated
Can I ask a question btw? I'm sorry for asking here, but you guys never mock me (minus Sam Jay) for my uselessness, so I'll take advantage of your niceness : is it ok if I do a top 70 and not a number like 50 or 100? Cause 50 is way too much and 70 is the most I can narrow it down to.
Like I notice what you guys are saying with my "strokes of brilliance". The strangers line. The crown of thorns line. The EVERYTHING, I feel deficient in something but I don't know what it is. I feel like a bird that cannot fly. I feel like a flower that has rotted away before it's even bloomed. Nnnn; maybe I should write a song about this cause the last time this happened I came up with some great lyrics.

I think you're amazing and those bad low confidence, self doubt moments can only make you a better, more appealing songwriter

I just finished the rank and 60 - 70% of the songs are completely unknown The people I've talked to about music know that I don't showcase my actual taste on ATRL, but if anybody that doesn't know me checks the list, the contrast between the songs and my sig will be too much

Don't think I'll return the favor if you barely took three seconds out of your day for me. It literally says "Discover New Music" in my thread title, like if you don't want to hear anything new don't open the thread.
