I think this is what I've always wanted from Nicki. It would be fun if she released like a full on hardcore mixtape sometime, but I think this is what we needed from an album.
Nicki's biggest moments have always been when she blends pop and rap successfully. The problem with PFRR was it was just pop and rap split down the middle and the pop tracks barely had a verse. What made Super Bass so huge was that she spit fire on the verses and it had a really catchy chorus. This album is more like Super Bass, High School, I'm Legit, and The Boys in that she has the great verses on nearly all of the songs, but then she also has a chorus that could pop off.
That's really nice. I hope bol.com has a solution like this for me.
There is a chance there won't be a solution soon enough, if any. The difference with Target, is that Target and Nicki have deal. It will be interesting how they (her label) will deal with it here, since I bought it in a store.
I want Feeling Myself released as a single in time for the Grammys.
Then Get On Your Knees, then Trini Dem Girls (streaming smash) then The Night Is Still Young.
