I know it'll flop but the song is simply amazing. You're right about it being too mature--putting out three singles is no use. She should've promoted the hell out of "RH(D)" to make it a bigger hit and then stopped there.
brandy should make this her last album. its pretty clear her recording career died a while ago.
she should just accept it and take her career in a new direction.
She'll be fine. She just doesn't need to take another 4 year break, and since she already said the next album might be released in less than a year, i'm hopeful

RH(D) grew on Pop after she started promoting, but Urban basically ousted it from radio. The main problem with RH(D) was that they took two months to send it to Pop. The label is being dumb.
