When the Hive entered the fray the whole "stanning" business became a lot more serious, because for them it wasn't entertainment, it was a real battle. They were more delusional than others (causing bigger arguments), more abrasive, they introduced all the stan lingo.
Monsters definitely made it worse though because they were super invested, their fave was slaying like no other, and they entered a new type of battlefield.
The Britney and Legend X generation was more like
No one cares anymore, all her Kindergarten fanbase is too old for her BULL. OMG, her trash bin toddler-pandering will no longer work. SAD.
