"…Baby One More Time" went on to become a number one hit in the U.S. and in countries across the world, selling over 10 million copies. Her eponymous album also went 14-times platinum and has sold over 30 million copies internationally.
Britney's album sales just passed 80 million. ...Baby One More Time actually SOLD around 24 million and shipped close to 30 million. Duca can vouch for this.
Lmao BOMT did not sell 10 million copies WW. I remember looking through Madonna's U.S single sales, and Vogue was at 600k or something. And that's pretty much one of her biggest hot 100 hits and she's the biggest hot 100 artist of all time. One would assume Vogue did 2m at the very most WW. There's no way BOMT sold 5x that.
Sorry, but no one would buy a 5$ physical single when they can buy a 14$ physical album.

Let's Talk About Love + Falling Into You both did it. Titanic OST is close too
Falling Into You came really close but it never crossed the mark.
It's 2014. Are we seriously still debating ancient BOMT sales like it makes a difference. Nobody cares about that damn album anymore regardless. Not one of them millions of copies is still in rotation so let's move on already.
The fact that there are still Britney conversations here is kind of embarrassing.
