Sis, Britney's fame was NOT propelled mostly by a "big personality"
People liked her silly, down-to-earth personality, but Oops! didn't break sales records because of her personality. And clearly the FF singles slayage wasn't based on personality... That's why it's a shame they let will.i.am get to her
I do agree that the music is what mostly propels Katy, but that's her biggest issue now; the late Prism singles weren't fresh enough to maintain her massive popularity. She needs to change it up a bit to keep non-stans interested. I imagine the label got the message given the performance of post-DH singles, so it'll be interesting to see how the music evolves. Hopefully the next album isn't just DH 12 times because
but she can't do more straight-up pop if she wants to have several big hits from the next era. That's why Brick by Brick will probably be a single, to show her versatility.
