For those of you comparing Billboard to ATRL, you really shouldn't. Just because immature members on a message board make fun of artists flopping doesn't make it okay. Billboard is... was... a respectable music publication. Their readers expect professional and objective journalism. If they wanted to pick up a tabloid, National Enquirer is on the bottom shelf.

Articles reporting about flops -- whether it be in music, movies, or television -- is valid information and has been an important part of entertainment news since the dawn of theater. There's nothing unprofessional about the article. Every single major publication have articles that report on the successes and the flops of the entertainment industry, from Vogue and Forbes, to Billboard and Entertainment Weekly.
