Like my main problem isn't even Billboard doing this. They could've gone a different way with such "Albums That Didn't Meet Expectations in 2014". To straight out call them flops, point out the performance to past albums, and make little jokes is so stupid.

I especially feel bad for Mariah not even in a stan way. People have been rude to her about her albums performance, her husband divorced, and people have now made an explosion out of her voice being bad all in 2014 for no reason. Like the disrespect is gross when she's just been doing all this for fans and already has personal problems. It's also sad because Christmas is the 1 time she looks toward to every year and does decent. Now they've really ruined it for her and I'm sure with all the previous issues she's really been sad.

Well those albums ARE flops. If my fave was there I wouldn't be mad. I was actually expecting Britney Jean to be there.

Billboard need not to sugarcoat it. It's fine just the way it is. While BB called them flops, they did the article in a tasteful manner (somewhat). It wasn't offensive but it really was straight to the point.

Tech websites, fashion websites, film websites list their flops of 2014 as well so why not a music magazine?

Any fashion and film websites ARE tabloid like gossip sites. Not a professional industry source.

If RIAA did "Uncertified Flops" they would be called unprofessional and a mess, if Nielsen Soundscan did "Too Low to be Tracked" they would be called a mess and unprofessional.

Billboard is the same category. They've done more so gossip in general the last years but as people pointed out that just proves overall they've been a mess lately.
