I got asked if I was Dominican or just black (as if I can't be both). My last name is "Smith" (which he knew because he was right in front of my door which has my name on it). How in the **** could I be anything but the decedent of slaves owned by the Brits? But hey, he was Ethiopian so I'm not offended, it was funny at the moment too. I always get asked if I'm Puerto Rican, which is weird to me because I really don't look it. It's strange how being an African American, you just have to be mixed with something if you're lighter...

I used to live in Barbados and I can't remember anybody saying anything bad about Haitains.

However, I knew several people who don't like Guyanese people for some reason. Like, there was this arson attack (which was extremely rare considering how safe Barbados usually is) and there was a rumour that the person who did it was Guyanese.
