If he's out to friends and family then that means they know his "I like girls" thing is just part of his job.
So? He has a job and an image to protect. His career would not be the same if he were to come out. As long as he's not hating on gay people like closeted politicians, there is no problem.
If he's out in West Hollywood hanging out with gay men, it's more than obvious he's out to everyone except the press.
