The Real doesn't do performances, but yeah, every song doesn't need promotion to be a hit. Only is a hit without a video and with just Urban and Rhythmic play (and it's not even Top 20 on the latter). The Bey song might be too much for Pop, but it'll demolish Urban radio incredibly. And the Ariana song is moody and not as Pop as expected (according to Perez), but that too will do wonders especially with the video and the two of them being together.
I don't know why people are surprised (not stans, but others). Nicki's pre-release singles are always the worse in comparison (in comparison, I'm not saying they're bad cz I love Only, Anaconda, BOL, etc.) to the album tracks and post-album singles.
