To add to that, I don't care who can play a 100 instruments on stage or not. I'm not the only one. Look at all the band geeks and jazz artists who NEVER reach the level of success of Beyonce or J.Lo. It's a business and you have to be MARKETABLE and BUSINESS SAVVY to be a HUGE STAR. It doesn't hurt to look good too (a full package), and people who put them down for that are idiots. We all know looks/sex sells.
They are great performers and PERFORMANCE IS ART. Having the ability to command that stage and that audience is a gift. And even if neither plays instruments (other than their voices) or writes much, they know quality and they give it to their fans. I'd rather that than having GaGa insist on co-writing and co-producing all her music and giving lackluster ARTPOP and Born This Way.
Oh, and "2 On" was cute, but i really don't care much for Tinashe. Definitely overrated by people who didn't know R&B existed before 2014. Go listen to Aaliyah, Brandy, Alicia, Ciara, Ashanti, etc please.
