You've been the one being the most critical of her throughout this thread.
Her voice broke ,but the thing is , Mimi's chest voice was clear for most of the performance dear. She wasn't raspy or hoarse. Her falsetto/head voice was working. That's really it.


The Christmas in Washington performance last year was MUCH WORST

It's not about not respecting her. Of course she is a legend, but just because she's a legend doesn't mean she should have her ass kissed and receive no criticism whatsoever. That's the problem. Mariah obviously has too many "yes" people around her , including her lambs who don't tell her the truth. That's why her career is where it is. Mariah is only 44. She is too young to be giving performances like this. Patti Labelle and Aretha Franklin are in their 70's and even they never sounded this bad. Instead of saying she sounds great (which she doesn't) she needs to be told the truth, humble herself and visit a vocal coach. She has a good 30 more years of singing left in her. Sounding like this at this point is not good at all.
