Yes a complete utter flop and well deserved. It's very frustrating that she chose this path. She started the Era trying to garner credibility with pnp. The results where undeniably underwhelming. Failed stunt #1. Immediately Thereafter she tried to backpedal to her one-trick pony stunts with sex imagery and the ditzy fluff of Anaconda. Only reason people cared to view was to see what meme worthy shenanigans she'd pull.
Fast forward to now and the album is still not out. It's obvious the credibility route hasn't worked out to her favor so is now putting finishing adjustments. (total rehaul to include the Dr Luke pop tracks)
There are Allot of gays in the urban demographic.. I'm sure it will do about 70 to 90k..and that's a very conservative thoughtful estimate
Her album should have been ready when Anaconda was blowing up the the Flawless remix happened. I doubt she'll see that much hype or chart success now before the album release. It doesn't help that she's released like 5 singles. If she was truly a pop girl she would be getting dragged for this.
I think she'll do average numbers first week and maybe get to gold in the US. Nicki needs to identify HER sound and build around it instead of tossing just anything out there to see if it will stick. She does not have a loyal core base yet to play around so much.
