I dunno why some famous predictors are being tepid with Gone Girl. It's a very cold film, sure, but it's undeniably a huge hit. I think it only just now dropped out of the top five.
Love Michael Caine but I kinda hope I don't see him act again for a long time. Whenever he cries, his accent becomes unbearable and he just becomes a blubbering mess. He's never worked well with Nolan (didn't like Alfred hamming it up in TDKR).
The Princess of Modern Cinema, Anne Hathaway, works very well with Nolan tho but he always writes these terrible parts for her. It's too Anne's credit that she almost got away with the "love can transcend time and space" speech.
What if after all the hype she doesn't get a nomination? That would be embarrassing.
