I hadn't listened to it for 2 years and now I'm revisiting it and I'm kind of slayed Why was TTR the lead single though?

It was and still is trash.
Through The Rain still remains her worst lead single.

TTR is a snoozefest, but the album has some good moments. Not her best work, but I had kept it in my mind as a hot mess and now that I revisited it, I changed my mind.

Add Lullaby and maybe Subtle Invitation and you'll have exactly the tracks I was referring to as "good moments"

Then either We Belong Together, Don't Forget About Us, or Touch My Body completes the trinity depending on the day.

A positive post towards an enemy of Madonna. Progress for you.

Thank God I found you am not the only one that likes it. Sure, it's not very cohesive and it doesn't have any mindblowing standouts, but there are a lot of good tracks on it.

It's in my top 5 of favorite Mariah albums. Very well put together, lots of good tracks, very little filler
I hope the poor sales of MIAMTEC was a wake up call, kind of like Charmbracelet led to her 2005 industry slaughter

Don't get me started because I know if I start I keep crying for the rest of my life.

I find Charmbracelet very cohesive, it just does not have, as you said, "any mindblowing standouts". To me, the strength of Charmbracelet is that it is able to create a very special and enigmatic atmosphere when you listen to it, and I am in the mood for that from time to time.

What do I think of her? I don't think of her.
Seriously though, Mariah's vocals irk me on that album. If she at least slayed vocally, I probably wouldn't hate it as much as I do.
Boy (I Need You), You Got Me, My Saving Grace, Bringin' On The Heartbreak >>>
But that's all I listen to on the album.

Whitney, her iconic shade
I always love Mariah's voice. Something about her tone, just Charmbracelet is nowhere near her strongest vocal delivery, but her runs, riffs and belts (especially on Bringin On The Heartbreak) were on point. Although I feel like she was holding back vocally throughout the album, in an attempt to switch up her signature style and start fresh after Glitter. And I thought it was refreshing.

vocally I prefer Mariah's voice on Glitter >>> Mariah's scream and whisper on Charmbracelet
listen to Lead The Way, Reflection, Never Too Far, Twister, and All My Life>>>>

I quite like her voice in the Glitter era! It was better than Rainbow for the most part to me.
