I think what made George use so much CGI instead of practical effects is because doing practical effects take a lot of more work and time and he was just not up for the task anymore like when he was younger. That's why I think JJ will do an amazing job. He'll bring new life to the franchise.

Look through this. I'm not sure why these models and sets didn't transfer well in the film. Here they look real but in the movie they look fake.

I hope that new Lightsaber actually does something rather than just look cool. Can't imagine too many people are hit by the mini-blades.

Whoever she/he is needs to stick around for all three movies, no more of that New Villian every movie crap. If they wanna make him truly hated by the public (aka iconic) he needs to kill Han Solo, preferably in the first 20 minutes to kick off the storyline.
