True. At this point, we just need another huge, A-list star who captures the public's interest. Pop culture used to be perceived as so important and interesting, but it's been so watered down and become so dull because now everyone's so worried about what people will think of them that they don't bother to do anything interesting, neither on nor offstage.
I can't imagine my friends talking about a pop star feud nowadays, whereas in late elementary/middle school, people were always talking about what was going on with them.
