Why do older people shake their head while watching TV?

Does anyone else notice this? Not sure if it's all but I noticed my Nanny does it years ago and my dad is sitting next to me and I see him doing it as well.

My grandma does that when she's watching the news. She also talks back to the TV and gets into shouting matches with the news anchors when they say something she disagrees with
