It's painfully obvious (to anyone with a brain) that someone who gets their ass beat and whines about it publically is going to be more sympathized with than someone who whoops someones ass (especially to white people). I don't know why you keep saying this as if it's some expert discovery. Like okay, Chris beating Rihanna's ass made more people like her and more people dislike him (obviously).
At the end of the day, his career is fine (he is still the biggest dude in his genre, still getting awards, top 10's, etc), regardless of if it would (obviously) be bigger had he not decided to try and do a good deed and rid the world of Rihfund.
