In The Lonely Hour is selling quite fine for someone who was literally a nobody in the U.S. last year and barely known in the UK as well. And at least he can get actual hits, actually sing, actually construct a cohesive song together, and perform on national television without getting boycotted by the country.
Also, My Everything is at 850K WW and still selling, so it's likely to pass UltraSuicidal when all is set and done. If not, Ariana can truthfully say that she got hits off of the album, and she has, say it with me now, a tour planned later on, and tickets for it are selling quite well.
Even PIGGY is embarking upon a tour, and even though she's flopping to a hilarious extent right now, at least her fans can safely say that she'll be alive and well by this time next year. What point is there even bragging about Lana anymore?

Disappointing not to see Robin Thicke's "Paula." He seems/is a douche, but that album was unfairly maligned. It is a cohesive mission statement in an era of singles albums, and reminds me a lot of Millie Jackson's "Caught Up" or Liz Phair's "Exile in Guyville" in that sense. I've listened to it probably 50 times and it never fails to surprise me, grow richer. Overlooked. I expect to see it on a number of the more thoughtful year-end lists in the coming weeks.

First of all, how can Sam be "struggling" to pass the 2M mark when he already has?
Second of all, congrats, some irrelevant critics think that Lana's repetitive, stale songwriting skills are good. Azealia Banks gets even more praise for hers than Lana does, and yet look at where that has gotten her.
Third of all, wow, 5-10K venues? Great. Iggy and Ariana will be performing in ACTUAL arenas, and they didn't need a "CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED MASTERPIECE THAT SOLD 5M COPIES" to achieve that, while Lana couldn't generate that kind of interest if her life depended on it. And she sure as hell can't now since Coachella attendees stoned off of their asses will be the only crowds she'll be "entertaining" anytime soon.
And lastly, she has faded away. Very, very much so. Her most recent effort sold a bit more than 1/5th of her previous album, it never generated any songs as big in the "indie" scene as Summertime Sadness and Video Games, the streaming numbers for it are abysmal, and she gave the project such little interest that it basically killed itself before she had a chance to do that. A 70-something score on Metacritic isn't gonna change the extent to which she has fallen, and only on her 2nd album nonetheless. Gaga at least had 2.5 massively successful albums before her downfall became a parody.
Now go on and tell me about how Lana is more noteworthy than any of the other discussed pop stars on this site who actually made names for themselves.
