Not really. He still has to work with the now Republican controlled House & Senate.
And if he does something politically reckless (that wont be effective anyway), then he's basically lost the American public (i.e. whites, CACs), which Republicans will use as leverage to thwart any other agenda Obama wants to achieve within the next 2 years. As if it wasn't already difficult enough.
Then Democrats put their chances of winning the House and Senate back in 2016 in jeopardy. Then a Republican has a better chance of winning the presidential 2016 election.
Then you stuck in January 2017 with the Executive and Legislative branches of government being Republican-controlled. And for what? Because y'all wanted Obama to be Malcolm X? Nahh, son.
I mean, those are just some of the political limitations (ramifications, really) Obama has right now. We not even talking about legal limitations. Damn.
