He robbed the store, yes. But most cops in this nation (regardless of Race) have this preconceived notion of Black males, and black people in general. Don Lemon once said he was pulled over for driving a nice car. It was his mother's car, but the police still assumed he was guilty until they called her and confirmed it was indeed hers. That wouldn't happen to anyone here other than a black person. It's the same reason Zimmerman stalked Trayvon Martin, assuming that he didn't belong in the fancy neighborhood and was up to no good.
You have some misfits here and there. But police and people in general ALWAYS vilify black people like this.
Henry Louis Gates was arrested for trying to get into his own house (he had locked himself out). It's sad that even someone that accomplished can STILL be subject to being vilified. When you know darn well you are doing right in your life, but that shadow is still cast upon you, it's a very awkward and annoying feeling. Anyone, regardless of race, would dislike being blamed for something they didn't do. This case is a sensation. But this happens almost DAILY in the USA. I don't have receipts. As a black person living in a perpetual state of fear, I really don't need them. All I have to do is cross paths with a police man.
Also, 6 shots to anyone RUNNING AWAY wounded is OVERKILL, regardless of how anyone spins it.
