RateTheMusic is a free survey panel that gives direct feedback to radio stations about the songs they play. So with songs like "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight" getting the #1 most favored song for weeks upon weeks this past summer, radios stations kept pushing the song until it hit #1 on the country airplay chart. It also stopped songs like "Chainsaw" from even going top 5. Radio kept trying to get the song to the top 2 but with "Chainsaw"'s negative callout scores it failed to do so because people hated that song. Same situation happened with "Somethin' Bad". it had poor callout scores and thus barely peaked in the top 10.
I mean if we all could start doing the RateTheMusic surveys on a weekly basis, we can help our favorite songs get further on the charts compared to what is currently played on radio.
Anything helps right because apparently digital sales don't do jack to help move a song on a country airplay chart
Different radio format, but Selena Gomez stans kept rating Slow Down highly enough on RateTheMusic to get that song to the top 10 of pop radio, so it does help
