2011 is such an underrated year to be a Gaga stan. She gave us so much more that year content wise than ever before.

I would love if Gaga and a team of songwriters, producers and music people went in the studio for like a month straight and just made a album. She works better under pressure and when she has less time to tamper with perfection.

ARTPOP was too damn refined. For example:

Sexxx Dreams was messed with too much.
MANiCURE sounds bad in the studio version.
Jewels N' Drugs was better with it's DJWS breakdown.
Aura was better without its weird vocals.

The only song that was as good as Swinefest was ARTPOP (actually the studio version is better but hihi).

She was to damn focused on making ARTPOP so damn perfect. She cared too much about making the album exactly a hour long.

Her worst albums according to critics and some fans are ARTPOP and The Fame and the ones that are the best are The Fame Monster and Born this Way. The two that were conceived in the shortest amount of time.

The perfectionist in her just ruins some things for me. Does this make any sense to y'all?

I agree! Artpop's live version was better tho. The heee heee's made the song good but she basically cut them in the studio version.BTW has so many flaws- bus recorded messy vocals, overproduction and some really bad songs. But one thing is sure- whenever she works on something for a long time, it turns out not good enough. For gods sake she wrote TFM in less than a year yet its her best album

Rushing doesn't always work. If that was the case for TFM or BTW, then it was a miracle.

Right? The live versions were so good.

I don't want to bag on ARTPOP but it just seemed, like a bad era from the get go on paper. Like:

- Over 2 years in development.
- No cohesive theme

I mean that alone. I'm not bagging on the album, since I still love it. But, lord. I hope she can see what went wrong.

Eh. I feel like the songs that Gaga writes in the quickest time are the best and most acclaimed. I mean it is possible for her to write a song for a while and it be good like Sexxx Dreams but it seems like the other way round normally.

There's no way in hell that the ARTPOP we got took two years to make. I think she scrapped ideas a lot the first year, then after resting from her injury she started another version. That version probably got changed drastically after she presented it to the label during the summer (hence all the leftover tracks we are still waiting for), and then rushed to make the ARTPOP we have now. It doesn't take two years to write lyrics over recycled+purchased instrumentals and then call it an album. If you remember,her ass was still Instagraming herself in the studio working on **** like a month before release.

She made HML 1 month before the release of BTW tho

The original ARTPOP is actually Element Of Crime/Private In Public and about a Princess put in a rave + The decay of the blonde superstar.
