That was her directorial debut, she was bound to make mistakes. Unbroken on the other hand, is not an extension of her charity work as u so eloquently allege. Your entire post is rid with ignorance & obnoxiousness for the sake of it.

The reason for making this film wasn’t just for the people of the area, we wanted it to be authentic. We know that there are a lot of people out there that we want to learn about this part of history and speak about these themes, but those people often don’t go to foreign films. For us, it was not about making a movie. It was about getting a message out and wanting to get it to as broad an audience as possible.

Also in an interview for BBC Angie stated that she was terrified about the reaction that the film would receive, but that it was right to tell the story of the conflict as we must learn from history. She also rejected accusations that the film was one-sided, saying that it showed humanity and authenticity on all sides
That film was an insult to both, Serbs (portrayed as ruthless war criminals) and Bosniaks (portrayed as poor victims), to history, and the only thing she achieved was that she opened old wounds of people who lived through it and misled those who didnt know much about it. She needs to learn how to approach topics like this one before jumping on writing a debut movie about it. There is no excuse tbh.
