All of her albums are underrated but out of all her albums, TTAL is the most overrated in my opinion. TTAL gave her all this recognition (Big sales, big singles, oscar performance, covergirl, big US tour etc etc) and its one of her weakest albums to date.

I'm yet to listen to her albums in full but for now it's TTAL

aww and the TTAL dvd doesn't even have that ridiculously high note she did on tours before (be it the CTMH medley or the just like a pill high note)! i think her voice wasn't as rested in australia when they filmed the dvd as it was during her first leg in the US (which is understandable of course after months of touring).

I'm so glad she quit smoking. Her voice can do things she was not able to for years before. She also sang the high note in JLAP on this tour which was mindblowing live. (@3:07)

i might be in the minority for this, but i prefered her singing janis with her much raspier cigarette voice. not that now is bad, but i just found back then better. especially during the summer tours <3
