What a bad timing for a chart change by BS or isn't it? All the media attention and discussion about streaming and musicians' rights after Taylor left Spotify could have been sabotaged just like this. With this statement BS chose their side by streaming companies against musicians and Taylor's efforts are weakened.

For the purposes of charting on the BB200, yes: "Ariana Grande’s 'My Everything,' for example, which opened at No. 1 in September, was No. 36 on last week’s chart, with 10,000 sales. Under the new formula, it would have been No. 9."

1500 album streams = 1 sale though, so it takes quite a few streams to even get a few thousand extra "sales" on the chart each week. Barring any big releases like 1D this week, I think Lord should be able to spend a few more weeks at #1.

The new changes will affect artists like Ariana who cannot really sell albums. It won't really affect Taylor too much cos she is literally selling millions of albums in the US.
