It normally only has a significant effect during album release week. However Taylor is shifting more than 300k albums in other weeks as well, so we are seeing SIO sales significantly affected every week as SIO buyers decide to get 1989 on iTunes in numbers greater than 40k every week. Hot 100 does not use CMA, though so it does not effect SIO's performance on Hot 100 but only Hot Digital Songs.
No other artist is really affected too much as they are not shifting hundreds of thousands of copies of albums except in release week, if at all. Adele was probably affected at times during 21's peak weeks.

Tbh i prefer the sales than charts position. It shows how big the song and its consistency.

Time Person of the Year? Nah, they have never given it solely to a singer/entertainer. If Elvis never got it, then I doubt Taylor or Beyonce will get it.
They usually give it to people like Stalin, Churchill or US Presidents.

I wonder if Taylor is rehearsing for the AMA's. She's been quiet on tumble and twitter for several days and hasnt been seen in new york
Her longest media silence since before the album announcement I think

Oscar winning Composer Hans Zimmer, who created the score for Interstellar, said the following
Quote:
Zimmer explained to Business Insider:
I think Taylor Swift, and really honestly, I haven’t quite been following it — I've been a little busy — but my point on the whole thing is, you know, it’s very easy to say, ‘Oh, those rich musicians. Their music should be free or whatever.'
It shouldn’t be free. It’s their livelihood. It’s their job. And I’m not talking about the rich musicians. Anybody should have the chance to as their dream say, ‘I want to become a musician and I want to make a living at it.’ You know? And why shouldn’t they be afforded a living? It’s a great big world and if there are millions of people listening to your music and enjoying it and getting something out of it then it’s not a hobby, it’s work.

You couldn't make this up if you tried!
Daniel Ek, the CEO of Spotify was formally the CEO of utor rent. This is the most common piece of software that enables music to be pirated. Good thing that we have him to save the music industry from piracy that only happens in the first place because of all that tor renting that only occurs due to his utor rent software.

NB. atrl seems to automatically prevent me from spelling that word correctly, so I inserted a Blank Space.
