Celine is a better comparison. I remember Celine Dion released her album in September and she got really good boosts during the fall too. She didn't have a hit, but she did a few promotional spots in the US and globally and her album did well (1.3M WW) but the campaign wasn't too long. Britney should try to do something like that.

Miley released WCS in early June, WB in August and the album in October I think.
I mean, you can't just throw it out there and expect it to do well. She'd have to promote and stuff. For instance, I think if Femme Fatale followed this schedule, she would have done 300k+ first week and the album would have gone platinum.
Pretty sure P!nk released TTAL in September 2012 and it went on to do extremely well.
