That wasn't my point. I know it was not in pop music before Britney, or at least not majorly known, but the genre was blowing up when Britney already did it. It was becoming less of a cult and more mainstream. Those early adopters had already moved on from it as it got known as "Brostep" and was seen as being cheesy. Skrillex was getting VERY mainstream.
Skrillex was the face of dubstep and hadn't had an album sell 500k prior. His 2010 album didn't even take off till after HIAM and his late 2011 release was far and away his peak.
If Skrillex is successful, then Keri Hilson is the Queen of Pop.
Still dil had 140m airplay n u said it didnt have payola ! Cuz the hive was buying the album and wasnt focused on the singles..but it was focused on requesting the song?..
Right.. Beyoncé does the biggest and most important release of the year and radios are not wanting to play her first single? K.
And let's not forget that while WB outsold DIL by almost 3x, BEYONCÉ's debut outsold FF by almost 5x and BJ by over 6x.
Her first successful tour..after all she she did she earned it..

Britney's ONLY tour to gross over 100M is "Circus." All her other tours have grossed under 50M with the exception of FF tour which grossed a paltry 68M.
