The fact that they spent half of the movie on the R. Kelly relationship shows how much of a sensationalist edge they were trying to serve. The intent wasn't to give you an insight on Aaliyah's personal life/rise to fame. It was just someone's interpretation of the rumors and tabloid headlines we've all seen before. And between the visible bald caps they had the actors wearing and those awful performances, the film has NO redeeming qualities. I hope Wendy is reading her mentions in tears right now.
