Although it does test your confidence to share your work, for me mostly I think it's not knowing how your work will come across and how it would be interpreted. Like, everything has some sort of meaning to you and it can come across in your own mind completely different to how somebody else, like a judge, may see it. I think that's the worst part
It's really fun to go against that, though. and totally gratifying when they like it and it pays off
